The needs in the community are many. Maternal and child health, continues to be the focus of the public sector followed by communicable and non communicable diseases. It is estimated that 12% of the population of Chhattisgarh is affected with Sickle cell, which we in practice believe is an under estimation. The true figures are much higher. It is also known that some communities are prone more to the disease than the others. Unfortunately these are also the groups that fall in the gaps of both the public and private sector. Our vision for this project, “SAAKAR” is to

 “Change dreams into reality, together” Our goal is to improve access and community support for our sickle cell patients.

We follow the multi model holistic approach.
